The one side will fit the AK4490/4495 DAC board, but the Amanero board has a space between two pins, so a six wide on that side. The U208 USB board has the same pinout as the Amanero I2S Bus connector.

The two USB->I2S capable boards I have just have holes in the PC board, so I'll just be using one end of a cable for those two, and soldering at the other end... Fortunately the holes in both boards are in the same order as the pins on the DAC board end. I think the spacing is correct so I could put a jack on the boards that would take the cable end-to-end, but it's not worth the effort...

If you have two left over cables, I will buy them off of you. Not sure if this USB board comes with the pin header or not. Description shows both ways, and getting answers are interesting in Chinese.

I did get the download link for the USB PC driver, so that part should be ok. We shall see.

I'll probably have extras. Yeah, I noticed that of the four pictures, two showed the header, and two just holes. I'd rather have the holes personally.

Well after 11 days and no update on tracking on the U208 XMOS board, the company is now talking to the post office in China to see where it is. It's always something.

Something tells me the XU208 Q1 board is lost.

Company said it would check with the post office two days ago and no update.

Not sure if it is coming via Taiwan as they have the Typhoon. They are getting hit hard. If so, this might be gone forever. Ugh!

The AK4495SEQ board has filter selections, but no description. Think I figured it out 4, but there is a 5th filter not selectable that is new called the superslow rolloff for the S version chip. Have to figure that one out as well.

Probably get it after RMAF, so will work on it then as well.

All five filter are selectable according to this DAC on Ebay.

If you want more flexibility in filtering and don't want to be limited to what the hardware manufacturer is will to give you look at -

http://rtaylor.sites.tru.ca/2013/06/25/ ... are-howto/

combine the computer processing with a really good DAC you can have any filter you want.

He also has a digital realization of the Linkwitz electronic crossover for the LX521 speakers -

I already use a Danville Signal Processing dspMusik for the 8 channel digital crossover with minimum phase DAC's for my line arrays.

You can make generic filters with the biquad blocks cascaded or use the Butterworth or Linkwitz-Riley alignments.

The AK4495SEQ has filters that are not linear phase as the reconstruction filter, so wanted to try that for the headphone amp. The AK4490EQ works very well with the slow rolloff filters. Want to try the superslow filters next.

Well the first USB board was lost, the second shipped a week ago, but similar problem, no tracking updates.

Just about time to canx this company and try another XMOS U208 board for the DAC.
