Glad to be motivation for your DIY bent!

The next batch of FPS planars arrive today. Will be installing them and wiring them up once they are here.

Well the THHN 14awg stranded will not work. To stiff to lay flat when I tried some left on my 50' spools.

So 250' of Belden 1309A is on order to use instead and take the THHN back to Lowes. Uses polyolefin insulation instead of nylon and pvc.

Thanks, it looks like nice cable.

Problem is the wire cost just went up 6x over the THHN for the Belden.

I have a bunch of CAT5 solid core wire. Might give it a try. Think it would be about 20awg with paralleling strands.

Polyolefin insulation is another "kissing cousin" to Teflon. It is also plenum rated --not that would be a concern. From an audio viewpoint -- much better than THHN. :D

Thanks for the tip on the dielectric insulation.

FPS drivers get here today. The Belden cable gets here tomorrow.

Hope to install the drivers, but it's tax time first. Ugh!
