Will have a total of 12 FPS planars by the end of the week to install in the baffles.

This will make use of all 8 channels of the dspMusik digital crossover with the servo subs.

Working on a jig to mount the stringers for the drivers in the baffle. Then time to glue stringers and install drivers.

Gluing the stringers on the open baffles has begun. Only doing the first set as a test, then after they set, test driver depth and do a lot more gluing! The FPS drivers work well as their own jig to set the stringers for drive spacing.

The dspMusik digital crossover and moded gainclone amps are ready to wire to the drivers and start measurements and listening.

The glue for baffle #1 stringers is drying. After about 30 minutes will start baffle #2 stringers glue work.

Test fitting the FPS planar drivers after the glue dried overnight. A bit of sanding and then time to drill a lot of holes to mount the drivers.

Since I need to wire the speaker up, here is 500' of DIY 14awg stranded speaker wire to use. Probably need about 1/2 of each roll.

Hi!

Just a note. Considering the effort and many hours you are spending on this very ambitious project, I would recommend not using THNN for your wiring. That wire will definitely impact the sound quality in a way that can usurp your sound reproduction goals. My recommendation would be something much more noble for the amount of wiring you need. Either Teflon or polyethylene insulated wiring would serve the music much better than THNN and reward your efforts. Sure Teflon is more expensive, but polyethylene is Teflon's less expensive "kissing cousin" and either choice is far better in music reproduction terms than THNN.

Walt,
Thanks.

I already have my previous speakers wired with the same THHN 14awg stranded and they sound every bit as good as my Analysis Plus Oval 9 cables on my other speakers. I am quite happy with it from past use.

It's fun to see a project progress like this! (If it was me, I'd move so slow that everyone would forget what I was working on. :( )

Your work makes me want to jump up and accomplish something!
