One observation about the BG NEO10 planar is that it has their house sound.

You can basically get rid of that part of the sound by using a high order highpass at 200Hz to get the LF signals out of the driver. In my setup I am using an 8th order acoustic L-R high pass on the NEO10. Increases power handling and better sound quality.
