So I think my WT motor is wonky and it is a discontinued model. I found a similar spec motor but the motor shaft sizes are slightly different.

The old, failing motor has a motor shaft that is between 0.1871-0.1874 in

The potential replacement motor shaft is 0.1874 in +/- .001

So the new motor shaft is slightly larger.

The belt pulley appears to be a press fit but it does have a set screw. When I loosen the set screw, the pulley is still firmly attached toe the shaft. The pulley is made of aluminum.

Do you think it would be possible to heat up the pulley to a few hundred degrees in order to mount it on the new motor's larger shaft? The worst case scenario is that the new motor shaft is 0.0004 inches larger.

Yes,

Shrink fits are very common in the high precision world.....they help with concentricity, too.
You can put the motor in the freezer, too.....
You can be the first to have a cryo TT motor. Ha Ha

There may be some loctite-like compound on your current assembly, as well. Heat will kill that, to aid in dis-assembly.

Thanks. I just was not sure of .0004" would be too much of a difference but it seems to be pretty close. I'll order up the new motor and keep running the old motor until it can't hold speed.

The new Well Tempered company (and turntables) are completely different from the old ones. There does not appear to be any company that maintains parts for the older turntables. Which is a pretty crappy way to run a business IMHO.

And pretty typical these days...

It looks to me like you'll have no problem re-using your original pulley, once you get it off the old motor. Don't force it, if it gives you trouble, spring for a small (ok, tiny) gear puller unless someone else in the group has one you can borrow...
