I built this recently.
Shelves (except for top which is solid walnut) are Richlite
Supports are solid cherry I turned from a neighbor's tree that went down about four years ago
Turning 20 spindles was tedious and very time-consuming.
Ends were treaded with 3/8 by 16 tpi and then reinforces with CA glue and cut again.
I used 3 inch pieces of 3/8 inch all-thread to hold it all together.
Very stable.

Here is an old rack rack (19 inch with mounting rails) bought from Heathkit on Nickolson Lane in Rockville back in the 1980's.
On the top is new fios box, router, two hdhomerun prime boxes (6 cable tv tuners), and NetGear gigabit switch for LAN.
First shelf is Minidsp openDRC-DA8 dsp crossover (spdif coax input, 8 analog outputs 6 in use).
Second shelf is htpc (Ryzen cpu running Ubuntu 20.04).
Third shelf is TrippLite power line conditioner.
Bottom is UPS for htpc and projector.

I've seen your cabinet making skills before -- no surprise here. NICE! Are you going to install casters to enable ease-of-access behind the rack when you wish to make system changes?

I have done extensive testing and have determined that casters sound terrible
Actually I rounded the bottoms of the cherry feet and they glide very easily over the carpet

Is that an htpc on the first shelf?
