When you run out of space in 2 dimensions, go 3D! I still do not know if it works thermally, though I suspect it will do well. If I cut back on the current on the diode strings, I only have to dissipate a couple of watts per regulator. I think 74 inches of 20 gauge wire should be able to do that nicely.
