Douk 832A dual tetrode headphone amp mod

Been interested in the Douk 832A dual tetrode headphone amp, so got one for $80. It uses a NE5532 dual opamp in the driver section. Comes with a 12VDC SMPS wall supply. Has a Chinese FU32 (832A) installed.

tomp awhile back sent me some NS/TI LME48720 dual opamps to try, so replaced the NE5532 with that. Works very well and to me a cleaner presentation of audio with either low impedance or high impedance phones as there arr two different outputs to deal with impedance ranges. There is an updated part from TI that Tom passed info on with +/-22VDC supplies, but the HPA is +/-12VDC onboard, so either works.

Put a Russian GU32 in it and have a NU832 coming to try. So far, the GU32 sounds less rolled off in the high end. Have a NU832 coming to try as well.
