Can anyone suggest good quality caps to use in a crowded DAC board? Needed are 1nF and 2.2nF.

Thanks,

Stuart

I guess my question is -- what caps are you replacing? The yellow 2n2 caps appear to be polycarbonate caps -- and the small blue ones are polypropylene.

You can't improve on those. If you are gunning after the monolythic-ceramic caps you might be able to do that with SMD stacked-film caps that come on feeder reels.

But the requirements for SMD work requires special tools and techniques. Paul Elliott has sweated through that drill and may be able to provide advice.

Here is what WIMA offers: http://www.marchelectronics.com/wima/WIMA_SMD_PPS.pdf
