FPS planar drivers installed and screws started. Need a new #1 Phillips screwdriver bit as the old one is done. Then build the left baffle, install the drivers and wire both arrays to the amp modules.

I've switched to square drive screws for most driver installs because they are far less likely to cam out of the screw and have the screwdriver puncture the driver.

Tough to find them in a #4 size screw around my area. I do use hex heads for the larger ones.

As of this morning, Parts Express now offers the BG NEO3W, NEO8 and NEO10 planar drivers again. This has been in the works for months from phone calls with them.
I have sent questions about if the BG NEO3PDR version will be available as well. If so, then a new DIY project might be in order.

YAY! Thank you. I just connected and an listening to a Neo8 along with a couple of other drivers. Not only is it amazingly clean, but the dynamics found on familiar recordings are incredible. I can only imagine what you're Neo10/Neo3 combination must sounds like!

The BG NEO3PDR/NEO10 combination in a line array were the best speakers I have ever heard and that includes the Infinity IRS RefIII's that are my reference from hearing them in 1979.

I found a white paper regarding the application of the NEO8s. The paper recommends a notch filter because of the steep rise in the treble on axis.

How many of each in the array Hal? I'm planning six Neo8 with a tweeter in the center. Was going to use a Fountek NeoX 3.0 but with the Neo3 available that would be my choice.
I already have the Neo8s.
A friend used then as a replacement for the midrange in his Tympani IV. When used ib the line array, he insists and measured that the notch filter isn't needed. The peak is a cavity resonance and it apparently averages out in an array. He priced it and has accurately measured it
In my single midrange test baffle, first tried the notch, but ended up with a third order low pass at 6kHz, a Fountek ribbon with a second order high pass handling the treble.
